You’ve come to know us for our enthusiasm for sharing the beauty of the Welsh countryside with our guided walks and bikepacking trips, as well as for our huge range of mountain gear and mountain bike rentals. Now, in 2022, the team at 1085 Adventures has branched out in a whole new direction by launching our very own coffee brand, 1085 Snowdonia Coffi. Coffee and adventures go hand in hand, and with our three roasts: 10, 8, and 5, we have something for every type of coffee drinker.
How 1085 Snowdonia Coffi Started
During uncertain times, we found that meeting for a coffee was a great conversation starter, as well as a topic of passion that crosses all boundaries. Coming together to drink a coffee, to talk about coffee, offered a thread of connection that we both enjoyed, and realised we wanted to share with the world.
We wanted to make a coffee to fuel any adventure, whether to give that kick of caffeine before a ride over Snowdon, while enjoying the serenity as a camping coffee, or to warm up after a dip in Llyn Dinas. But we didn’t want just any beans or blends making up our brand, we wanted something special.
The Three Coffee Blends: 10, 8, and 5
Named after the numbers in 1085 – the official height of Snowdon – the three coffee blends have been designed to suit different tastes. We know not everyone is a seasoned coffee drinker, while others like a deep, thick roast that packs a punch. With these three roasts, we made sure everyone will find something they enjoy.
Starting with the fullest roast, 1085 Snowdonia Coffi 10 is an earthy and rich coffee bean that gives notes of brown spice, tobacco and wood, making a strong and unforgettable brew.
1085 Snowdonia Coffi 8 is our middle-bean, a softer blend than 10 that offers caramel and dried fruits, but still finishes with a kick of booze.
For those who enjoy a soft, mild brew we have the 1085 Snowdonia Coffi 5, which is an incredibly special roast with hints of chocolate and red fruits that is produced by the Asociación de Productores de Café Diferenciados y Especiales de Guatemala (Asprocdegua), which we’ll cover in more depth in it’s own coffee journal article.
Of course, we know that coffee is one of those things that people are incredibly picky about, and there’s no substitute for getting to know a roast better than having a delicious cup of it.

What’s Next for Snowdonia Coffi
Although we’ve launched the brand with a bang, the 1085 Snowdonia Coffi story has just begun. For now, the coffee is exclusively available from 1085 Adventures online store or in our shop in Beddgelert forest, but keep an eye out here and on our instagram for what’s coming next!
We have big plans for 1085 Snowdonia Coffi, because we believe that even just starting from something small, like a chance meeting over a coffee, big things can come.
